ISLAMABAD The recent medical examination and treatment of former prime minister Imran Khan was deliberately turned into a political controversy despite reported complete satisfaction expressed by doctors representing his party and even his personal physician. Khan's own doctors from Shaukat Khan Hospital were so satisfied with the examination and treatment of Imran Khan that one of them told the doctors concerned You have done an amazing job aap nain to kamal kar dia. But Aleema Khan was upset with all this, said an opposition source. According to informed sources, a team of two Pims doctors accompanied by Dr Nadeem Qureshi a physician nominated by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf PTI conducted a detailed examination of the incarcerated PTI chairman last Sunday. Following the examination senior opposition leaders including Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, were briefed at Pims. A 45 minute speakerphone consultation was then arranged between the examining doctors and two Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital physicians Dr Khurram Mirza and Dr Asim Yusuf  who are considered trusted by Khan and his family. Sources said the entire conversation was heard by multiple participants and formally minuted with records reportedly available to both sides. 

During the call the Shaukat Khanum doctors were said to have expressed strong satisfaction with the examination and treatment protocol. According to the minutes cited by sources the PTI doctors from Lahore described the treatment as very encouraging and satisfactory praising the team for undertaking textbook based investigation and treatment. The doctors also reportedly appreciated the examining physicians and congratulated them on their successful handling of the case. Dr Asim Yusuf thanked the doctors team which examined and treated Khan on behalf of Imran Khan’s family and assured them that the family would not criticise their medical management again. Sources further said the PTI doctors asked numerous questions and were provided access with the patient’s consent to medical summaries test results and treatment records. The discussion reportedly covered all aspects of Khan’s condition so much so that it was noted that cholesterol level had slightly elevated. When asked for recommendations the PTI nominated doctors reportedly advised that no immediate intervention was necessary and suggested reassessment at the next examination. A senior Pims physician Dr Arif expressed disappointment over earlier public claims that Khan was not receiving proper treatment by an expert. He said that he had the experience of having administered such an injection to more than one thousand patients. Sources said PTI and all parliamentarians privately described the situation as satisfactory. However, the situation took a dramatic turn the following morning when Dr Asim Yusuf released a video message stating he could neither confirm nor deny certain details as he had not seen Imran Khan creating confusion over the medical assessment. Despite the reported satisfaction expressed during the consultation PTI sources claimed that plans for protests and sitins continued. Several senior opposition leaders including Mehmood Khan Achakzai were said to have been aware of the doctors assessment. Sources confirmed that Aleema Khan the former premier's sister did not play a positive role in easing things and instead asked the doctors and opposition leadership to maintain a hardline stance. Sources claimed she expressed displeasure when some leaders conveyed satisfaction with the medical findings.

Each of the 34 suites are sanctuaries of comfort and craftsmanship with wood marquetry and bespoke furnishings. Equine inspired details, such as saddle stitched leather trims, worn leather and curtain tiebacks mimicking traditional Arabian tack, nod to the country’s deep rooted horse heritage. Meanwhile, the use of signature green patina panels is meant to evoke Jeddah’s iconic architectural façades, in particular, the coral stone merchant homes in Al Balad (Jeddah Historic District)

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai on Sunday, June 23. The wedding was attended by close family and friends. Following the event, Sonakshi shared pictures from the close knit ceremony. Sonakshi and Zaheer, who have been dating for the past seven years, got married under the Special Marriage Act at the former's house in Mumbai. They completed the formalities of a civil marriage and are now officially husband and wife.

Today's wedding will be a registered ceremony without traditional Hindu or Muslim rituals. Zaheer’s father, Iqbal Ratansi, emphasized that "religion has no role to play" in their marriage. He added, "It will be a civil marriage, and Sonakshi will not convert her religion." The event will begin with a private ceremony and culminate in a celebration at Bastian, with a dress code of “formal and festive, just don’t wear red.” Sonakshi and Zaheer have been dating for several years, initially keeping their relationship under wraps. They first met at a party hosted by Salman Khan, who played a pivotal role in launching their careers. Zaheer debuted with the Salman Khan backed film "Notebook," while Sonakshi's debut was in the blockbuster "Dabangg." The couple starred together in the 2022 comedy drama "Double XL," solidifying their bond.

The couple made their first public appearance as a couple in 2023 at Aayush Sharma and Arpita Khan’s Eid bash. iCube Qamar Pakistan's first ever lunar mission

Pakistan's first lunar mission, iCube Qamar, has been successfully deployed in orbit, Dr Khurram Khurshid, a member of the core team at the Institute of Space Technology (IST), told Geo.tv on Wednesday. He said the orbiter was successfully deployed in lunar orbit on 8th May at 1:14pm PST, terming the development “a great success overall”. Following its deployment, the satellite will allow imaging of the desired Lunar surfaces in a carefully selected 12 hour elliptical orbit. The iCube Qamar was launched on board China's Chang'e 6 from Hainan, China, on May 3. Ahead of the launch of the satellite last week, Dr Khurram said that the Pakistani satellite carried by China's Long March 5 rocket  will reach the lunar orbit in five days and will circle around the moon for three to six months. He added that different pictures of the surface of the moon will be taken with the help of satellite after which Pakistan will have its own satellite images of the moon for research.

The satellite was designed and developed by the Islamabad based Institute of Space Technology (IST) in collaboration with China's Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and Pakistan's national space agency Suparco. iCube Qamar orbiter carries two optical cameras to image the lunar surface. Following successful qualification and testing, the orbiter was integrated with China’s Chang’e6 mission the sixth in a series of lunar exploration missions. CubeSats are a class of small satellites used by academic institutes for experimental and research purposes in low Earth orbits, generally with an altitude of less than 1,000 km. However, these satellites are now finding many applications in higher orbits and deep space missions. Moon is in an elliptical orbit at an average distance of around 384,400 km from the Earth which makes it challenging to communicate with and control small satellites. The opportunity to release CubeSat into lunar orbit from the Chang’e 6 mission was offered by the China National Space Agency (CNSA) through the Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) to member states. After a thorough evaluation, Pakistan’s proposal was accepted out of all APSCO member states. The design, development and qualification of iCube Q was led by faculty members and students of the IST in collaboration with SJTU and support from Suparco. iCube Qamar carries two cameras as payload for imaging lunar surface and Earth/moon images from lunar orbit besides having 3 axis altitude control for desired orientation, onboard computer, thermal control, telemetry and telecommand and payload data communication modules for connecting through deep space network.
